Schneier on the NSA’s Tailored Access Operations Unit

Bruce Schneier today blogged about the TAO unit of the NSA, referencing an article from Der Spiegel which spoke of the techniques the unit used in order to gain access to a target. The Schneier article referenced includes a variety of links from their top secret “catalog of tools.” Of course we are only scratching the surface here, particularly as many of these tools and techniques have bamboozling code names like “QUANTUM INSERT,” but nevertheless it is an interesting read.
